New Blog, New Year.

I thought it might be best to create a blog in order to share with our loved ones (who don't like or want to access facebook) exactly what is happening in our busy life.  With Christmas two days away I find myself reflecting on this crazy past year and looking forward to what 2012 will bring for us.

In 2011 we:

Went through a deployment.

Found out we were expecting.

Did a bit of work on our home.

Added a new family member of the canine kind.

Robert sewed on.

I am no longer employed (by choice).

I recently finished finals and should be receiving a diploma in a few weeks.

In 2011 Tristen:

Learned to walk.

Got all of his teeth.

Went to the zoo several times.

Has been visited by all sorts of family and friends.

Learned to sleep in a big boy bed.

Upped his vocabulary from simple words (Mama and Dada) to about 40 words now (also using two word sentences).

All in all, I'd say we had a pretty productive and successful year.  This year wasn't easy, but I am counting my very big blessings.
